Unlocking the Doors

I’ve been called an ‘old soul’ by several people and I am beginning to see why. I take pictures of everything because there is beauty in all creation whether it is on the surface or hidden. This includes man-made objects too. I’m not that complicated, sometimes I tend to over analyze situations, but for the most part I am pretty simple. And simple does not mean dumb. I love reading my text books and really any book that will challenge, encourage, or inspire me. Fiction included. Knowledge is valuable. Seek it, probe it, remember it, and apply it. My calling on this earth is to serve other people, to love and provide, and to bring hope into their lives. I want Jesus to shine through me.

I want to be eye-level with people and love them not based on what I can get out of them for my benefit, but simply for who they are. I want to help them in whatever way possible; it doesn’t matter what walk of life they are from or where they are going. I want my hands to get dirty in all the muck of this world and show God’s unfailing love! I want to take risks with my Jesus. Because he doesn’t call us to be safe, but willing. And well, I’m willing!
